The Authorities Declare War

Infamous Tax Code was adopted yesterday at the National Assembly by first hearing. Dozens of assessments have been and will be heard on its all negative implications, losses, which the economy will suffer through that Code. Total of all assessments, including those of representatives of the authorities is one—this Code is directed against the country, as basis for any country is economy, in particular, SMEs, which may face danger of destruction upon the new Code.

Provisions, change of rate of a tax are a secondary and a more technical issue. The message addressed to the state, or to be more exact—to the authorities acting in name of the state, through this Code to the citizens, householders and everyone is more crucial and dangerous.

Sense of this message is that the state, in a wider sense, is not the one to support and help a person, a citizen for the development and progress of his/her life, living conditions, but to oppress and prevent the development by all means. By the way, the tax mechanism is only a part of that anti-human, punitive system. It’s not the Police, which protect people, but citizens attempt to protect themselves from the Police, people restore justice not through the courts, but do everything possible to avoid courts and not to be sentenced unfairly.

People in Armenia live under the conditions of subconscious fear from the state and its infrastructures. And upon the new Tax Code the authorities record more objectively, that not the state should serve to the people, citizens, but the contrary, the citizen, business should serve the state, i.e. authorities appearing with fake democratic declarations by that make a serious step, which, in fact, is typical only to totalitarian states, to the states, where a person is not a purpose, but a means.

The authorities declare war to the people, who have two options: accept that challenge and protect themselves (it’s another topic for discussion through which means), or withdraw, leaving Armenia. By the way, these days it’s being much touched upon that (through indirect messaging of the authorities as well), that the new Tax Code is being exerted by international financial organizations. Seems like our authorities are such good ones, that they don’t want to increase the tax burden, however, they aren’t able to resist “conspirator agents of Western Imperialism.”

In fact, international financial organizations, even if oblige adoption of such a Code, they do it not for the purpose of dissolving Armenia’s economy, but for the purpose, that for years Armenia’s authorities involved immense loans, and didn’t waste but dilapidated those loans and made the country face the issue of solvency.

International organizations are not charitable organizations, and, naturally, settle their financial, and why not, political issues as well. Let the authorities be kind to productively use the loans obtained through years, and obtained from it not only propagandistic, but economic effect, and presently this issue would lack, to solve which they have to terrorize the economy of their own country. As for statements by the authorities that the Tax Code will be amended after the first hearing and concerning points will be eliminated and etc., they are simply another manifestations of “brightness.”
