Many have hopes for the new PM, including me: Abel Aghanbegyan
Armenia mainly depends on developments in the world, and in particular, in Russia. Russian academician Abel Aghanbegyan told about this during the workshop on “Issues of economic growth in Armenia: third generation reforms, investment environment and development premises.” It should be noted that the workshop was initiated by Graduate School of Corporate Management (GSCM).
Aghanbegyan stated that together with the GSCM founder Radik Vadunts they visited all the regions of Armenia, met heads of companies, local authorities, MPs. At the same time, they worked towards studying Armenia’s social-economic condition.
As a result of about 2 years of work, a 120-page report was issued devoted to Armenia’s investment policy perspectives. According to Aghanbegyan the report enshrines sore spots of Armenia’s economy and the directions, which have potential for development. According to the scientist, Armenia’s economy has so-called black holes, without elimination of which it’s impossible to lead the country to progress.
Abel Aghanbegyan didn’t want to touch upon which part of their proposals was adopted by the Government and which shortcomings have been recorded in investment policy throughout last 7-8 years. “I’m not going to enumerate shortcomings, I’ll attempt to pay more attention to the positive points,” the scientist said adding,
“I consider, people coming from the side have no moral right to criticize the policy pursued here, it’s not nice. Especially, when currently new Government has been formulated, many have hopes for the new Prime Minister, including me,” Aghanbegyan said.
