We launch an important process: Karen Karapetyan gave new instructions
During the Government session on May 4, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan gave an instruction over the provision of state assistance in priority fields of economy.
“We have repeatedly voiced the desire to provide targeted and effective assistance by the state in the priority fields of the economy. I think it’s time for Government to show assistance to newly established enterprises operating in priority fields, in particular, we propose a new state subsidization policy for certain interests of loans provided by banks to enterprises”, the PM said.
According to him, this will contribute to increasing economy’s efficiency and competitiveness, assisting those, who create added value, and also creating new and stable jobs.
The PM tasked the Ministers of Economic Development and Investments, Finance, Agriculture to jointly discuss with the Central Bank and commercial banks within two weeks concrete proposals over subsidization of credit interests based on priority fields.
“I think we launch an important process. We held similar discussions in the Agriculture Ministry over drip irrigation, agricultural machinery leasing service. If a company in the light industry field receives a loan, we are ready to subsidize the bank interest rates for two years,” PM Karapetyan said.
Regarding garbage disposal and sanitary works K.Karapetyan stated that the government intends to bring the field to the necessary level, bringing those throwing garbage in wrong places to responsibility, tightening sanctions and declared “Clean Armenia” program.
He appointed the Minister of Territorial Administration and Development to submit necessary proposals in a month regarding recognition of the Ministry as authorized state body on garbage disposal and sanitary cleaning, “We haven’t had such a body before.”
