The Armed Forces of Armenia have deployed more units along the eastern borders of Syunik and Gegharkunik to prevent Azerbaijani troops from advancing further into the country’s territory.
The US Department of State has issued an alert warning its citizens against travelling to Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) amid the reported tensions along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the high risks of contracting the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.
