NBA star Luol Deng supports Armenian Genocide movie “The Promise”
NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers player Luol Deng joined the promotion campaign of the Armenian Genocide movie The Promise, expressing support for human rights in South Sudan.
“I am Luol Deng, and I vow to keep the promise in supporting human rights in South Sudan,” he said on Twitter.
The producers of the movie launched the #keepthepromise campaign on the internet, and numerous actors, singers and athletes have expressed their support for it.
The Promise, staring Christian Bale and Oscar Isaac, tells the story of the Armenian Genocide at the outset of World War I. The late Armenian American billionaire Kirk Kerkorian financed the production of the film
