No extraordinary call was received during the day: Tigran Mukuchyan

Unprecedented few reports and calls on violations were made during voting of the Yerevan City Council election compared to the previous elections, chairman of the central electoral commission (CEC) Tigran Mukuchyan told a press conference.

“Also in terms of content, if we try to evaluate calls which were received yesterday, then essentially they related to some separate cases, while no extraordinary call was received during the day,” Mukuchyan said.

He added that the police and the Prosecutor General’s Office both dealt with this kind of reports. “Law enforcement agencies are immediately responding to all similar reports, they look into it and in case of discovering unlawful incidents, proceedings are launched as prescribed under the law,” he said.
