Mayor of Ejmiatsin Karen Grigoryan has resigned.
The National Security Service (NSS) says it has carried out simultaneous search operations within the framework of two different criminal cases on June 16 in Ejmiatsin city (Vagharshapat). The NSS said it has discovered large amounts of weapons and ammunitions as result.
Former defense minister Seyran Ohanyan will be questioned as part of an ongoing investigation by the state revenue committee. A date and time is already set for the questioning, state revenue committee David Ananyan told reporters, without giving any details about the investigation’s process.
