In his turn RA MFA spokesman indirectly accused Russia of participation in a propagandistic wave financed by Azerbaijan, i.e. through various tubes Russia attempts to exert pressure over Armenia to hold the presidential meeting in Russia, and particularly, under Russian umbrella with all its pro-Azerbaijani implications.

We should do everything. I’m not saying there is no need for the time being, that need is always available, 24 hours a day. However, we have President, National Assembly, Prime Minister and they are all able to raise the issues in political instances and protect. If needed and the Catholicos interferes we will surely bring our participation as well.
After statue to Garegin Nzhdeh was unveiled in Yerevan, Moscow expressed its discontent through its analysts and historians, to which Armenia’s power circles dared to reflect by common formulations only, introducing as justification to the circumstance that it’s not the disposition of separate individuals and not that of official Moscow.
