The Brussels airport administration urged to stay away from the airport after the two explosions occurred. The airport management wrote on “Twitter”: “Two terrorist attacks happened at the airport. People are being evacuated from the building. Stay away from the airport area. Flights are canceled, “the statement reads.
The blasts occurred four days after the arrest in Brussels of a suspected participant in November militant attacks in Paris that killed 130 people. Belgian police had been on alert for any reprisal action.
“Two explosions occurred in the departure area at Brussels airport. There are casualties. The airport is completely blocked; movement of aircrafts and vehicles is completely stopped. Currently, police forces, fire trucks and emergency personnel are arriving at the airport”, writes the newspaper.
“We should wait to see which direction the party will take and which steps it’ll initiate, as not established yet, it already has two functions: strong and weak. The weak factor is that party will be headed by Vartan Oskanian, who doesn’t possess peculiarities of a charismatic leader, however, it’s a weak factor as well. Depending on the activity of that party, we’ll see which one of them will dominate, as both simultaneously are available,” he said.
“Not to sound strange, only the institute of fair and free elections may contribute to change of power in Armenia, which is beneficiary for the West. Once they tried, and saw there is no potential for color revolution in Armenia, i.e. it’s impossible to change a system through a street, in Armenia it’s possible only by means of fair elections,” he said.
The point is, not being an oil exporting country, Armenia is the one dependent from oil. We are deeply dependent form Russia’s economy through money transfers by working migrants. Truly enough, due to decrease in money transfers, the ratio of transfers/GDP has slightly gone down—15%, however, it’s a bothering indicator as well. Regarding dependency from transfers, among CIS member countries, Armenia, perhaps, is back from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
ECHR decided, that the Government of the Republic of Armenia should pay EUR 50 thousand compensation to the applicants. Zaruhi Postanjyan, “Heritage” Faction MP, who formerly was the advocate of the three young men, considers decision by the ECHR precedential and considers it may have some preventive character. At yesterday’s NA briefings Z.Postanjyan stated that the Republic of Armenia, unfortunately, is not a democratic country, jurisdiction doesn’t fully function, as a result of which lots of Armenia’s citizens are unfairly in prison, and real criminals and murderers are in freedom.
As a human, I’m against it, it’s a shameful policy, if it were defensive armament, that’s another point, but it’s attacking one. If they don’t purchase it from Russia, they may obtain it from other countries, however, Russian armament is contemporary, powerful, productive, thus, they purchase from Russia tanks, jets, all of them are attacking. Russia arms Armenia’s opponent with attacking armament, and this policy instigates Russia to aggression, we think so, maybe it’s not so, I don’t know.
“My opinion is the following—Assad is standing on a strong grounding, so strong that it can solve issues of the Islamic State through the other contingent in Syria, thus, under this condition, it’s senseless to continue Russia’s actions in Syria, that brings forward a range of issues. Although I don’t think Russia’s this step will weaken West-Russia tension,” Rahr said. The latter isn’t sure that the decision will boost Syrian political settlement, assured by Russian experts.
Federico Lobmbardi’s comments came after some media outlets reported the possible visit of Pope to Armenia in the period of June 22-26. He said the dates weren’t correct, and it would be best to wait for the final decision, to avoid misunderstanding.
