“Making this kind of loud statements after false accusations is the typical style of the Azerbaijani agitprop. The number one task of our army is ensuring the complete security of our people, and we are ready for this at any moment in any event, especially that the Armenian Army has not only professional soldiers, but also opportunities surpassing the adversary’s armaments and strategictechnical characteristics.”
The Azerbaijani defense ministry has released yet another disinformation, mentioning that their military has ‘destroyed a command vantage point and a surveillance system in the Artsakh-Azerbaijan line of contact. The defense ministry also posted a poorly staged footage of the socalled destruction.
Moreover, no serious ceasefire violation cases have been recorded today, while the dissemination of such information is addressed to solely Azerbaijani audience. The Defense Army of Artsakh continues to keep full control of the front line and has suffered no casualties.
Soldier of the Artsakh Defense Army Tatul Harutyunyan, who was wounded by the Azerbaijani fire, is in normal condition, Colonel Kamavor Khachatryan – head of the militarymedical department of the Armenian Armed Forces told reporters on May 31.
“Azerbaijan runs cunning policy, it always deploys various divisions, artillery near the settlements firing shots towards our posts. The Armenian side never targets any civilian object.”
“I consider it’s difficult to do anything here. I wouldn’t overestimate the statement by OSCE MG on Azerbaijani activities, as months ago a statement was addressed to Armenia, when they called on the sides to solve the issue of returning bodies of Azerbaijanis.”
“The commander and two deputies of the military unit were dismissed from their posts. Some servicemen have been subjected to disciplinary punishment,” he said.
Movses Hakobyan also informed that Artsakh’s border area is fully equipped with cameras. The direction of Artsakh completely, and the Armenian-Azerbaijani border partially are provided with cameras.
“I should start by reminding that the observatory mechanism on the contact line is not completely shut down. It’s still in effect, the common objective that the two parties (Yerevan and Baku) accept common procedures of planned monitoring and observation of the Line of Contact. Baku proposed to use a surveillance aerostat, on the area to be observed (west of Seysulan and Martakert district).”
“We greatly support the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and their latest statement. We believe that there is no military solution for this conflict, and that the status-quo is no longer maintainable. We believe that the ceasefire agreement should be respected, we believe there is no military solution to this conflict and we believe that investigative mechanisms, also confidence building mechanisms should be implemented.”
