On May 19 and overnight May 20 the Azerbaijani forces violated the ceasefre regime more than 100 times by firing over 1750 shots from various caliber small arms at the Armenian positions in the Artsakh-Azerbaijan line of contact.
The video recording devices installed on the front line have detected that the Azerbaijani side opened fire on its own positions from 60 mm mortars by preliminary information in the SeysulanYarmja section of the contact line at about 12:15-12:19 and 13:32-13:36, as a result of which explosions took place in the mentioned area.
“And Congress is for protection of interests of US citizens. Accordingly, raise the issue with your Congressman, take steps so that clear statements are made, that respective decision condemning those steps was adopted. If there were Jews or Irish instead of Armenians, I’m sure, a week later serious sanctions would have been imposed.”
“Firstly, OSCE main members have been long convincing Baku, that there is no need to exert efforts towards closure of OSCE Yerevan Office, but Baku ignored views of Moscow, Washington and Brussels. Those statements were a signal, as in fact, no one from OSCE MG members intended to close it in Yerevan, i.e. it turns out that will of one side is exerted over MG and the international community,” he sad.
“Baku refuses to implement these agreements, although their importance has been emphasized on numerous occasions, including during the recent trilateral meeting on April 28 of the foreign ministers of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.”

However, he is a liar, there was no any “peace for territories” formula any time. In 1992 I was a participant of negotiations, I don’t know when he was then, and there was no any discussion and it can’t be. “
“The statement of the OSCE Minsk Group indicates that all are interested in maintaining peace and stability in the region. Aliyev’s adventurism, the attempt to distract his society’s attention from domestic problems through such dangerous means is unacceptable. I think this statement will be followed by respective processes, maybe, they will not be public, and it is not necessary at all. The international community will more clearly and insistently present its stance,” Babayan said.
In addition, the Azerbaijani forces also fired 60 mm mortar (1 shell) at the eastern direction, 60 mm mortar (1 shell) and anti-tank grenade launcher (1 grenade) at the north-eastern direction of the line of contact.
“According to our information received from various sources Azerbaijan opened fired on a military facility in the opposite side of the contact line on May 15, which was properly retaliated by the other side. I have reiterated the position of Russia on this issue many times,” Zakharova stressed.
The Co-Chairs condemn these recent ceasefire violations and call upon the sides to take all necessary measures to prevent any further escalation in the conict zone.
