“We have reached the point where though we have to think about saving money, restricting and adopting a conservative budget, we have managed to effectively withstand the challenges, ensure economic growth, raise the competitiveness of the economy, and expand export volumes. The policy of just relying on external donations loans is already in the past,” he added.
Drop of beer production volumes and import growth. What should the state do in such cases? Support local producer/exporter or at least not create issues for them?
“It will contribute to the mutually beneficial cooperation in the transportation field, will provide favorable conditions between the two countries, as well as will facilitate the transit cargo shipments and passenger transportation through the territories of the two states to the third countries,” the Minister said.
“Generally risks of state debt management today, yesterday, and tomorrow, are known to almost everyone and they’re the same. Depending on the structure of debt portfolio, priority of those risks and their management is being regularly changed.”

Economic Activity Index (EAI) in the period of January-October of ongoing year, as compared to the same period of the previous year, is 100.4. This means, that throughout the first ten months EAI has grown by 0.4% only. On a monthly basis the snapshot is even more disappointing: on October 2016, as compared to October 2015 EAI has decreased by 7.8%, and, as compared to September 2016—by 18.7%.

This year RA Control Chamber inspected use of means allotted to RA Ministry of Diaspora from September 1, 2015 upon the budget program. According to the report issued by the Control Chamber (CC), in 2015 and 2016 state budget has allotted respectively AMD billion 35 million 188.8 thousand and AMD 1 billion 165 million 833.6 thousand to the Ministry of Diaspora.
A.Margaryan stated that from next year the budget can’t be planned with a deficit more than 3%, although the threshold is 7%. “Our debt with repayments is extended untill 2050. Neither of our neighbors has such an extension, despite they’re equal regarding physical volumes and the comparison isn’t proper,” he said.
