Today, President Serzh Sargsyan participated at the 11th Convention of the Homeland Defenders Voluntary Union (HDVU) which took place at the Karen Demirjian Sport and Concert Hall. At the Convention, President Sargsyan made welcoming remarks addressed to the participants and the guests.
A citizen, identified as N. Berberyan, reported to law enforcement agencies that on February 16 his friend H. Siradaryan and the latter’s cousin A. Oskanyan demanded him to return the money which he had borrowed from them, during which he was forcibly kept in a vehicle and threatened with physical violence, the Investigative Committee informed.

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan appointed Davit Tonoyan to the post of minister of emergency situations on February 6, the President’s Office informed.
