There can be no doubt anymore about one more United Nations failure. The old Security Council structure, in the last decades, had prevented effective solutions for humanitarian tragedies, as it occurred in Rwanda, Bosnia, Congo and, now, in Aleppo.
Visit of Iranian president to Armenia, bilateral statements made during those several hours, caused a big stir among political and expert circles, because as a result of the visit, basically, the circle of expectations related to Armenia-Iran relations was clearly shaped. And time will show what reflection those quite different expectations will have, in which volume and how they’ll be implemented.

“I’m very happy, that they told me that from now on people of Meghri and Agarak may use Iranian gas. This means that we edify the result of invested efforts, gas may contribute to Armenia’s development, and houses will be warm as are their hearts,” Rouhani said.
“We must have a route connecting the Persian Gulf to the Black Sea through a railway. By this we will create favorable conditions for our people, as well as those of other regions”, he said.
Upon the investigation hypothesis, the Colonel has relation with fraud linked to purchase of food for 102nd military base in Gyumri. According to the media outlet the loss comprises 470 million rubles.
“For us Armenia and Azerbaijan are friendly states, and we hope that we will witness establishment of stable peace in the region which will benefit the entire region. Undoubtedly, this conflict has no military solution. We want to witness the peaceful settlement of the conflict,” Rouhani said.
