President of the Republic of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan on March 20 signed a decree on dismissing Artur Aghabekyan from the post of Vice Prime Minister of Artsakh Republic according to his application, press service of the Artsakh President’s Office informed.
On March 19 and overnight March 20 the situation remained calm in the ArtsakhAzerbaijan line of contact. The Azerbaijani forces violated the ceasefire regime more than 25 times by firing over 140 shots from various caliber small arms at the Armenian positions in the line of contact.
The Defense Ministry of Artsakh Republic told on March 17 and overnight March 18 the Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire regime over 38 times by firing more than 250 shots from various caliber small arms at the Armenian positions in the Artsakh-Azerbaijan line of contact.
“Our representative is in the court. He informed us the court uphold the prosecution claim. Moreover, the court made a decision of 120 hours of community service instead of 80. The conditional sentence was also decided, 4 weeks instead of 2 with two-year suspended term.
On March 15-16 the Artsakh Ombudsman presented his concerns in the field of human rights to Congressmen David Valadao, Adam Schiff (California) and Jim McGovern (Massachusetts).
On March 15 and overnight March 16 the Azerbaijani forces violated the ceasere regime 40 times by ring more than 550 shots from various caliber small arms at the Armenian positions across Artsakh-Azerbaijan line of contact, the Defense Ministry of Artsakh Republic informed.
From the opposite side of the Line of Contact, the monitoring was conducted by Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, his Field Assistant Irji Aberle (Czech Republic) and Personal Assistant Simon Tiller (Great Britain).
“Another agreement was reached over installing mechanisms investigating ceasefire violations in the conict zone and expanding the number of OSCE observers.”
The Foreign Minister briefed on the processes taking place in Artsakh and the situation on the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Artsakh and Azerbaijan, as well as answered the questions of the participants.
From the opposite side of the Line of Contact, the monitoring will be conducted by Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, his Field Assistant Jiri Aberle (Czech Republic) and Personal Assistant Simon Tiller (Great Britain).
