Head of the EU delegation to Azerbaijan Malena Mard announced supporting the OSCE Minsk Group over the settlement process of the Nagorno Karabakh conict, the Azerbaijani APA news agency reported.
“You know our firm position which is aimed at exclusively peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict. It is a firm position, based on documents and we are committed to it,” Zakharova said, adding that official Moscow continues keeping in touch with the conicting sides.
More intensive ceasefire violations were registered in the eastern and north-eastern directions of the line of contact where the Azerbaijani forces fired 111 shells from 60mm and 82mm mortars and various types of grenade launchers.

“The Azerbaijani side continued to violate the ceasefire regime today by firing 68 shells from different-caliber mortars and automated grenade launchers in the direction of the Defense Army positions in the eastern (Akna) and northeastern (Martakert) directions of Artsakh-Azerbaijan contact line.
“I realize the conflict has entered a new stage after the escalation recorded in April 2016. However, I don’t realize what happened on February 25 and which the primary reasons of the occurrence were. I consider, any of the parties to the conflict may have its motives for the escalation. I can’t understand how Azerbaijani soldiers died during recent developments.”
“The settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict will contribute to the stability and prosperity of Azerbaijan and the region,” the Ambassador said at a conference in Washington DC dedicated to the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and US.
The NKR Defense Ministry announces the NKR side has never been the initiator of aggressive actions and is ready to deliver a destructive blow to any provocation of Azerbaijan.
