The Defense Ministry of Nagorno Karabakh as result of ceasefire violations by Azerbaijan, at 23:25 on July 29, 20 year old soldier Hrach V. Gevorgyan was wounded in one of the eastern military positions of the Defense Army of Nagorno Karabakh.
People are being detained from Sari Tagh. As “Azatutyun” Radio reporter Hovhannes Movsisyan reports the red berets forcedly detain people from the street. The reporter informs that the policemen in civilian clothes attacked on the demonstrators, hit them on hands and heads. The reporter of “Azatutyun” Radio informs, that he was also attacked on hands and head. He informs that violence has been used towards other reporters as well. According to the latter their equipment was partially damaged. According to the reporter lots of ambulance cars are leaving Sari Tagh.
The National Security Service has apprehended persons criminally assisting the gunmen who have taken control of the Police precinct in Yerevan. “In particular it was revealed that M.M – who is currently under arrest – has been in contact with gunmen Armen Lambaryan and Martin Hakobyan, and has planned to induce the rally participants by violence against on-duty police officers on July 24 in Khorenatsi Street to break through the barricades and join the gunmen and get armed.
“As Mr. Yenigomshyan allowed himself to discredit and call a liar my friend (Vitaly Balasanyan), let me introduce two episodes from the life of Mr. Yenigomshyan. In 1980 Mr. Yenigomshyan in Geneva planned a terror act with Syuzi Mahserejyan, the bomb exploded in the hotel room in his hands, as he wrongly switched it. Syuzi was in the room then. Yenigomshyan lost his hand and sight, but Syuzi, who is Monte Melkonian’s sister-in-law, equally has born the punishment with Yenigomshyan. Let him first reply, against who that terror act was organized.”
Overnight July 28-29 the Azerbaijani forces violated the ceasefire regime by firing various caliber weapons and 60mm mortar (2 shells) at the Armenian positions in the eastern direction (Akna) of Nagorno Karabakh-Azerbaijan line of contact.
“NATO member countries, NATO partners have rather hard position regarding Russia’s initiated hostile activities against its neighbors. It particularly refers Ukraine. NATO has tough position regarding its policy, according to which, any European country has a sovereign right to choose its defensive partners within its foreign policy. NATO is decisive in this issue. “

Alek Yenigomshyan was detained yesterday. His attorney Nikolay Baghdasaryan told 168.am. according to him, Alek Yenigomshyan has been detained in the National Security of Armenia (NSS), within the investigated criminal case. In his words, they applied to the Ombudsman to record the violations. Currently Alek Yenigomshyan is in the detention cell.

Traditionally any internal political shaking in Armenia is automatically identified with Russia, on account of power and influence of that state in Armenia. However, this, maybe is the first case, when Russia didn’t need such developments on account of leading political interest in Artsakh issue and the unhidden intention to accelerate the settlement process.”
