In the aftermath of the incident, the RoA police issued a statement according to which 34 police officers and 16 civilians were taken to various healthcare facilities. 11 protesters were forcibly taken to police departments and one criminal case was instituted .

Police are using unprecedented brute force against violent protesters who resumed early this morning, using violence – bodily serious injuries to the participants of the peaceful actions. The Red Berets (the special forces of the RA Police) beat one of the protesters thus the citizen fainted because of the blow.
The vice president of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Armen Ashotyan was detained at the intersection of Moskovyan and Teryan streets by using brute force. As it is known, this morning the opposition started large-scale peaceful disobedience in the streets of Yerevan.
The Freedom House human rights organization made tweet calling on the police of Armenia to refrain using force. “We are disturbed by violence taking place during protests targeting journalists, public figures, and ordinary citizens in #Armenia. We appeal to the people to exercise their fundamental rights peacefully and call on the police to refrain from using disproportionate force. The Armenian authorities and the opposition must respect the unobstructed functioning of democratic and human rights institutions, including civil society and the media, necessary to guarantee the rights of all citizens in the line with democratic norms and standards”,- tweeted Freedom House.
