Armenia’s foreign minister Edward Nalbandian held a meeting October 7 with Artsakh’s foreign minister Masis Mayilyan.
The situation in the Artsakh-Azerbaijan line of contact remained relatively calm October 1-7.
“Both Presidents confirmed their readiness to reengage in negotiations with the purpose of reaching a peaceful settlement to the conflict. Information on the forthcoming summit will be released by the respective sides in the near future”, the Co-Chairs said in a statement.
The ANCA reported that Secretary Tillerson expressed his support in response to Congressional inquiries from Representatives Brad Sherman (D-CA) and David Cicilline (D-RI). His written responses were made public this week.

Vigenin reiterated his steadfast support for the work of the OSCE Minsk Group and its Co-Chairs, but stressed that the ultimate responsibility lies with the political leaderships of the parties involved. President of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan signed a decree on September 28 according to which serviceman of the Artsakh Republic Defense Army’s N division Seyran Sargsyan was posthumously awarded with the “For Service in Battle” medal for bravery shown during the defense of the Artsakh Republic state border.
