The Defense Ministry of the Republic of Artsakh shares the grief of the loss and extends its condolences to the family, relatives and co-servicemen of the killed.
The Artsakh President wished them productive work, expressed gratitude to the former heads of the abovementioned structures for their activities.
On the same day President Sahakyan approved another decision of the Government according to which Harout Mnatsakanyan was appointed head of the Shahoumyan regional administration.
The Presidential decrees defined the ministers whose activity will be coordinated by the minister of state, as well as the scope of authorities entrusted to the minister of state by the President in the field of state property and financial management.
In addition, the Azerbaijani forces fired automatic grenade launchers at the south-eastern direction of the frontline.
Parliameny Speaker Ashot Ghulyan, acting Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan, Stepanakert Mayor Suren Grigoryan, delegation of the Yerevan city administration and other officials were present at the event.
In his turn Hakob Jambazyan thanked for the warm reception and said their regular visit to Artsakh is again with charity mission and the entire Armenian community of Canada stands together with Artsakh with all its capacities. “Living away from the homeland we are always interested in the problems existing here, and our desire is to see them solved as soon as possible. This time we have brought with us medicine and necessary items for the Defense Army”, he said.
Ashotyan also commented on the attempts of certain Azerbaijani speakers to turn the platform of conference on women health and social issues into an anti-Armenian propaganda, adding that the Armenian delegation arrived in Baku to discuss the main topics of the conference, rather than the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
“Armenia is preparing to sign a new agreement with the European Union. In addition, we’ve arrived here to not allow propaganda and anti-Armenian rhetoric during an event in which European lawmakers are also participating. Unfortunately, such rhetoric was allowed in certain speeches. However, it must be taken into consideration that we didn’t come here to discuss the Nagorno Karabakh conflict”, he said.
In their turn the Congress delegation members presented the results of their visit to Artsakh and expressed readiness to continue making efforts aimed at developing the Armenian-American inter-state ties and peacefully and fairly settling the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
