“Regrettably, multiple warnings of the Armenian side that sooner or later Azerbaijan would become hostage to its own Armenophobic rhetoric and would plunge into a new military adventurism and therefore the aggressor must be contained by all possible means, fell short of desirable results. When Azerbaijan was bragging about the acquisition of arms and weaponry in profound quantities, the international community remained silent or almost silent.”
At the moment requiem of Sasun Fahrad Mkrtchyan (born in 1989), machine-gunner, serviceman, killed as a result of the attacks of the adversary, is being held at Kond’s St.Hovhannes Church. Health condition of one of the relatives of the killed soldier was recorded bad during the requiem, and immediate help was provided by the ambulance. Relatives, friends of Sasun Mkrtchyan, lots of officials, MPs, as well as ordinary citizens came to bid farewell to the fallen soldier.
“The Minsk Group is a mediating forum to help Azerbaijan and Armenia to negotiate with each other,” former diplomat said. According to Richard D.Kauzlarich further developments of NKR conflict zone are in the hands of Armenians and Azerbaijanis alone.
The Spokesman of the President of Nagorno Karabakh Republic David Babayan says, Stepanakert has grounds to believe that Azerbaijan has recruited mercenaries from the Turkish “Grey Wolves” organization and “Islamic State” terrorist organization.
“We condemn the breach of the 1994 Ceasefire Treaty by Azerbaijan, the violation of the Artsakh people’s right to live in peace, the targeting of the civilian population and settlements, the purposeful failure and denial of the efforts aimed at the solution of the problem by the internationally accepted format of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and the policy of settling the Nagorno Karabakh conflict through military means.”
“Azerbaijani subdivisions, unable to break resistance of Armenian bordering units, tried to use heavy equipment, from which TOC-1 multiple rocket launchers and unmanned aerial vehicles. However, Armenian artillerymen threw out these systems and Air Defence Forces destroyed one combat UAV,” Artsrun Hovhannisyan, RA MOD press speaker, informs.
Intense battles are taking place along all Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces. Karabakh forces, causing considerable manpower and military equipment losses, took the initiative in their hands in north-eastern and south-eastern directions. During the military actions the adversary lost 3 tanks in north-eastern direction, and 2 tanks in south-eastern direction.

“Another good news, during the morning fighting Armenian subdivisions have destroyed 3 new tanks,” Artsrun Hovhannisyan, RA MOD Press Speaker, wrote on his Facebook page.
The Azerbaijani side continued bombarding civilian settlements and Defense Army positions in the line of contact on the early morning of April 4. The Press Service of the Nagorno Karabakh Defense Ministry released a statement.
