Co-Founders of Aurora Humanitarian Initiative Ruben Vardanyan and Noubar Afeyan announce in Yerevan today the names of the five Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity 2017 finalists.
Famous Russian TV and radio journalist Vladimir Solovyov referred to the Armenian Genocide. He posted a Forgetme-not photo in Twitter recalling that the April 24 is the Remembrance Day of the Armenian Genocide.
“This isn’t the first time I’m in Armenia. I’ve been here in 2015 with my father. I’ve come on behalf of the Aznavour family, my presence here is very important for my family. The main message of my visit is to show the next generation that they have to always be here, we have to assist Armenia being strong and united, that’s why I’m here today,” he said.
The donation by a film company founded by the late Kerkor “Kirk” Kerkorian, an Armenian American philanthropist and businessman, will help establish the Promise Institute for Human Rights at UCLA School of Law.
“Armenian peacekeepers continue their service in another base,” Artsrun Hovhannisyan, spokesman of the Armenian defense minister, said on Facebook.
“We should all care about human rights, helping refugees and children. My name is Jennifer Lopez, and I vow to keep the promise to never forget,” Lopez said in an online video.
Minister Artsvik Minasyan asked Armen Avetisyan’s profession, then made a job proposal, “I offer you a position of a forester.” Engineer Avetisyan agreed to work as forester in Lori province.
The filmmakers behind new historical epic ‘The Promise,’ starring Oscar Isaac and Christian Bale, charge that Turkish interests tried to counter their film by creating a competing movie.
Mkhitaryan made the following post on his Facebook page, “I am deeply saddened by the tragic news from Nigeria. Praying for the eternal repose of our fans and wishing strength to all those affected by the tragedy.”
Based on the Armenian government’s decision, the European Court ruled the lawsuit to be unacceptable for the mentioned articles, as for the other parts it ruled it as clearly unfounded.
