The story of the two-year old Allen Harutyunyan taught us – the average citizens and statesmen, to renew our insights about the right and wrong.
On February 26 we released an article titled “Let’s save Allen from his own family.” The article and the two videos were about little Allen, who lives with a disabled grandmother Anahit Harutyunyan and alcoholic mother Narine Harutyunyan.
The article of our newspaper released in our previous issue titled “Today is really an election day?” was about Anahit Harutyunyan’s family living at the address of 62 Dro St. in Kanaker-Zeitun community.
A publication in previous editions of 168 Hours wrote about Anahit Harutyunyan’s family, residing at Dro 62, Kanaker-Zeitun community of Yerevan. During our visit Anahit’s grandchild, two-year old Alen was in a very bad situation as he was hungry and changed the color of his face because of the cold temperature.
Anna is in her wheelchair, behind which the life stops existing for her. Life stopped for her during three days, when she could not move and feel anything.
Armenian citizen Merab Suslov has been sentenced to life imprisonment in Ukraine, where he has been subjected to torture. Relatives of Merab Suslov and representatives of Yezidis’ community in Armenia held a demonstration near the Embassy of Ukraine in Yerevan. They wanted to give a letter to the Ambassador of Ukraine Ivan Koukhta.
The luggage of an Armenian expatriate from Damascus Alexander Pashayan had lots of chests with books. It was the post-war period, where there was widespread destitution and starvation. None of the boys of the village would ever imagine that the chests that they stole actually contained books. But it was too late. The chests couldn’t be retrieved. So they had to burn the books.
A recent article published in 168 Hours newspaper, “10-year-old Avetis was warned not to appear in front of the NA,” received huge feedback. The family of Sharmakh Sargsyan residing at Hovnatan 20,Malatia-Sebastia community, and the editorial team of the newspaper were surprised to receive so many calls.
During the past year the experts of psychology are discussing whether the computer addiction should be included in the list of psychiatric addictions as a separate disease as for example gambling, stealing, etc. The problem is that if we include this on the list of addictions then we should think about healing process.
10-year old Avetis and I were supposed to meet in Malatia-Sebatsia yesterday, where their house is located. I was invited to be told why they lived in candlelight for over a year. Avetis hasn’t been attending school for three months now.
