Yesterday the members of the “Say no to gender perversion” initiative organized a protest in Yerevan. They marched to the government building and submitted a letter to the government. This initiative is against the newly elaborated bill on the equality of men and women, which caused so much noise.
Growing emigration is becoming a threat for Armenia. If this trend continues this way, it may become a threat to Armenia’s national security. The issue of emigration is like an alien for the Armenian society – everybody knows about the growing trends, people feel the impact, but nobody knows real numbers.
Similar to the soviet times when the officials would swear in front of the soviet flag, now as well the Armenian officials seemingly swear to speak only about the progress and development of the sectors they lead.
In the classic Diaspora, the community is closed connected and united with the church. The other structure is the ARF, which is not preferable in this case. Here the challenge is how to modernize the church and make it more participatory. Armenia has over 900 communities, out of which 400-500 are major ones. In western states we have about the same number of churches.
Our fatherland is not well known in the world. In terms of investments, however, the most attractive sectors are agriculture, mines and energy. But for that we need new capitals and newer technologies. And in our opinion it is just starting to develop in Armenia.
Investments, economic growth, prosperity… Do you know what’s the main condition for the occurrence of these three things – property right; more accurately, the right of the immunity of property right.
“What a shame!”, “they are depraving us,” “all this is to full the humanity, sooner or later Europe will impose all this on Armenia”… We may bump into such comments and remarks under articles and videos posted by Russian or European sources. Recently we more frequently see such posts characteristic to yellow press.
We should differ local elections from the modern political history of Armenia. Unfortunately this political history is not written in the same manner as the history of the first and second republics. We don’t have the political history of the Armenian kingdoms either.
Novelist Levon Khechoyan refused to accept the 2nd level medal of honor for “service to the fatherland” granted by the president of Armenia. Without any exaggeration, this move must be considered the most political and human action of the recent period in Armenia. I
The truth is not to lie, which starts from you. You shouldn’t be greedy when the lie and greediness join each other. I am greedy in art and music and sometimes I lie to my mom by saying I ate the food. That is not a dangerous lie. A person has to live like a person like a human being.
