s a result of the ceasefire violation by the Azerbaijani side, on January 22, as of 23:25, the NKR Defense Army soldier Karen M. Ulubabyan, born in 1995, was fatally wounded at one of the military units located in the eastern direction of the Defense Army. Investigation is underway to clarify the details of the case.
The Defense Ministry of Nagorno Karabakh informed on January 18, as of 14:00, Defense Army soldier Andranik S. Musikyan (born in 1997) was mortally wounded by Azerbaijani fire in one of the military units located in the southern direction of the Defense Army.
“Of course, this won’t be a positive development for NK conflict and Armenian issues. Maybe Russia will make use of the passive position of the USA, moving forward its personal traditional game in Karabakh, in which Moscow’s gift may be Baku.”
“This is enshrined in the documents prepared by the OSCE Minsk Group through the Co-Chairs, it is enshrined in numerous statements adopted by the Presidents of the co-chairing countries, Russia, France and US, as well as in the statements and documents adopted by the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan.”
“At the same time we find it unacceptable to link Bordyuzha’s resignation with the December 29 incident’s comment, because his responsibilities as Secretary General expired on December 31, 2016 – in accordance with the decision of heads of states, which was adopted in the December 2015 Moscow sitting of the Collective Security Council,” the document reads.
“As we observed later, this “good tradition” continued, and all criminals and maniacs are made heroes in Azerbaijan. And now Azerbaijan is more active these days, so that “black January” and attempts to proceed with its anti-Armenian policy was continuous,” he said.
22 year old Defense Army soldier of Nagorno Karabakh Arayik Sargsyan was fatally wounded on January 16, at 12:35 in an unnamed military position in circumstances which are yet to be determined, the NKR Defense Ministry informed.
“This means that the Azerbaijani side is tended to some concession on the negotiation table, as its alternative is war, to which this side isn’t ready. I consider, under these conditions the maximal concession will be continuation of negotiations on a high level.”
“The Armenian side should demand installation of investigative mechanisms on the contact line and on the border, which will allow the Minsk Group to work more productively. Armenia may work a bit “aggressively” to that end,” he said.
“At the moment I consider it illogical to touch upon what scenario the negotiations will have, however, I am sure we have an option to ensure our security and victory through those negotiations,” the PM said.
