“Karabakh issue and Karabakh conflict settlement are different: serious changes haven’t been recorded, it’s been a few years that the Co-Chairs aren’t dealing with the Karabakh issue settlement. They attempt not to settle the conflict, but reduce violence risks.”
Commenting on the provocative actions that took place in the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Sergey Minasyan said Azerbaijan uses the holiday season and tries to show that the tension in the border continues, peace is not maintained, military threats still exist.
“At the same time, the issue isn’t the Armenian representative, but recently serious issues have emerged between Moscow and Minsk. Those issues relate to the crisis in Ukraine, then Belarus intends to raffle national elements, authorities of Belarus have arrested Russian bloggers, thus, restricting their activity.”
“Iran is a very crucial partner and neighbor in many dimensions—trade, transport, energy, geopolitics. I read the statement by Rouhani in Yerevan as a standard diplomatic formulation, in other context— Netanyahu’s visit to Baku.”
“For us Armenia and Azerbaijan are friendly states, and we hope that we will witness establishment of stable peace in the region which will benefit the entire region. Undoubtedly, this conflict has no military solution. We want to witness the peaceful settlement of the conflict,” Rouhani said.
And as Armenian authorities also stated on their readiness at least not to oppose to that plan, Ter-Petrosyan proposes implementation of the propaganda part of that deal, in all likelihood, in the forthcoming parliament, or, for certain engagement with the leadership system, which is the same.
“After Azerbaijan’s attempt at the beginning of this April to repeat aggression against the self-determined NagornoKarabakh Republic it became clear to everyone that if Azerbaijan rejects the packaged settlement of the issue, then there is only one version of step-by-step settlement.”
Reflecting to purchase of “Iskander-M” tactical missile system by Armenia, the magazine reports that experts, following Russia-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission session, express the opinion that Azerbaijan isn’t at all bothered by this circumstance.
“The alleged Armenian unmanned aerial vehicle in the photo is just another toy of Azerbaijani children: to raise the spirit of the Azerbaijani army,” Hovhannisyan said.
“Azerbaijan may get encouraged, however, Russian policy and interests haven’t changed. Russia will pursue its traditional policy, and I don’t consider that changes will be recorded,” the analyst said.
