President of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan has praised the troops for “brilliantly professionally” defending the country and said that the Artsakhi governmental bodies are working effectively in wartime.
The October 5 – October 6 night proceeded “relatively calm” at the Artsakh-Azerbaijan line of contact, the Armenian Defense Ministry spokesperson Shushan Stepanyan said.

A group of Talysh activists of Azerbaijan have expressed concern over the Nagorno Karabakh conflict escalation and called on their fellow Talyshs – who constitute an ethnic minority in Azerbaijan – to avoid being enlisted into the Azeri military amid “systematic efforts” of the Azeri government to send them to the front for the attacks on Artsakh.
Within the framework of the fact-finding mission, launched by the Office of the Human Rights Ombudsman of the Republic of Artsakh, a thorough research and analysis of the cases of criminal encroachments, committed by the Azerbaijani armed forces against the civilian population of Artsakh, for the 27.09.2020-04.10.2020 time period, have been conducted. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has asked former servicemen who were demobilized within the last 1 year to voluntarily join the military amid the Azerbaijani attacks.
